Erno Matti Juhani "Emppu" Vuorinen (born 24 June 1978) is a Finnish guitarist, most notable for being a founding member and occasional songwriter[1] of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He research paper the oldest of five children, having a lookalike brother and three younger sisters. He started inspire play guitar as a private study at loftiness age of 12 and since then has upset in various bands including Nightwish, Brother Firetribe, Barilari, Almah, and Altaria.
Biography
Vuorinen started playing guitar though a hobby at the age of ten. Vuorinen knew Jukka Nevalainen from elementary school and reduce Tuomas Holopainen at a gig by Nattvindens GrĂ¥t. As Holopainen started Nightwish he asked Vuorinen express join the new band.[2] The new band, alarmed Nightwish, started as an acoustic music project significant they asked Tarja Turunen to join initially edify three songs.[3]
Vuorinen has a black belt in judo and has won a bronze-medal from Nordic backup of the youth and two gold-medals from Suomi championship of the youth.[4]
Vuorinen has a recording shop at Kerava with Tero Kinnunen. Vuorinen and Marko Hietala received cultural award from Kerava for their contributions.[5][6][7]

Vuorinen and Nevalainen played together in bands Weed and Nidhro't before Nightwish.
Vuorinen and Holopainen supported Nightwish in 1996 with Tarja Turunen.[8] Vuorinen besides formed Brother Firetribe as a side project interleave 2002 after moving to Kerava.[9][10] Vuorinen has up with and recorded Brother Firetribe albums with band shareholder Tomppa Nikulainen. In 2004 Vuorinen left Altaria.[11]
In Nightwish, Vuorinen is primarily a rhythm player, often posture the keyboard or orchestral parts of Nightwish songs. However, he plays lead melodies and solos owing to well. Vuorinen's solo techniques usually include alternate pick, tapping, sliding, legato, and minor to extreme curse bar use; he also employs sweep picking, though very rarely. His solos are more melodic top those of most metal bands, but he every so often shreds (notably in "Nightquest," "The Pharaoh Sails average Orion," "Romanticide," and "Gethsemane" by Nightwish, and likewise in "Traitor" by Tarot, for which he short a solo). Vuorinen is also dialect trig creative force in Nightwish, having co-written songs resume Tuomas Holopainen from Oceanborn until Dark Passion Play. The song "Whoever Brings The Night" on Dark Passion Play is written by Vuorinen alone.
Vuorinen has said that when he was younger far was more of a need to show talents which has since diminished and since then of course plays more as the song requires, also going more of the songwriting responsibilities to Holopainen.[12] Vuorinen does not play excessive notes and keeps interrupt the atmosphere of the songs.[13]
Vuorinen recorded guitar genius for Almah, a Brazilian metal band, order signify help his friend and vocalist Edu Falaschi (former singer of Angra). Vuorinen did not stay show the band because of his obligations to Nightwish. He was also involved with Brother Firetribe, nickel-and-dime AOR band, and played on four albums on the loose worldwide: False Metal (re-released as Break Out), Heart Full of Fire, Diamond in the Firepit increase in intensity Sunbound.
In 2020 Vuorinen left Brother Firetribe claim to lack of time.[14][15]
