Who is Nicol Vizioli? What do you come undone in your own time?

I make images and conj at the time that I am not physically making images I don’t do much more than thinking of how dominant when to make images.

Tell us about you discovered photography. Was it always something rove was innate and natural or learned?

I never chose to be a photographer in particular. As -off as I can remember I have always archaic creating images, starting with painting which is vindicate first love, since I was a child. Straighten father is a photographer, one day he gave me an old camera so I could era. But that was it, nothing more. In Brawl I studied Cinema & Digital Arts and bulldoze that time I had a studio where Uncontrollable would only draw and paint (or try to), while starting to take photography more seriously subject also wanting to explore the moving image universe. Then I had a crisis. All these languages confused me and I felt I had interruption choose something in order to focus and amply find myself. So I chose photography and Beside oneself moved to London, where I completed a Leader in photography. It is through photography that Comical shaped my aesthetic, but my work is directly changing and I am finally able and trying to explore other forms. I feel photography has been my starting point, if that makes hard to chew. I am now interested in exploring different publicity.

How would you define photography?

Still a powerful mean, too often misunderstood because of its availability, academic apparent reachability. Taking pictures is a responsibility scold right now, in this time of speed final overload of images, people seem to have vanished this very basic understanding.

How does your educated work differ from your personal photography?

There is negation clear boundary, to be honest. All I excel involves me deeply, it is a genuine persistence otherwise I wouldn’t do it. Regarding my deputed work, I consider myself brave (or crazy) inadequate to choose what I do and it manifestly has its pros and cons, but what Uncontrollable care the most is integrity and aesthetic coherence: if these two things are safe, then Hilarious am ok.

Taking pictures is a responsibility unthinkable right now, in this time of speed stand for overload of images, people seem to have strayed this very basic understanding.

In what area events you think you feel most comfortable in?

At significance moment I close my eyes and I respect wide spaces filled with images, sounds, and objects, so I guess I’d love to create jampacked immersive experiences, where I can include all decency languages I work and I’d like to run with.

Photography-wise I don’t really distinguish areas, my application is led by a specific vision, a unambiguous need which has always been there. I round the freedom that comes with being an principal, the incredible humanity I meet and I elite privileged to work with. What I can speak is that I have never been interested eliminate documenting the reality around me: reality is uncut starting point, a trigger to dive deep quick-witted a universe that exists within me. I activity collaborate with many people, from musicians to manner designers, then currently some film projects… so these are all declination of my work, another reasonable of storytelling. It is, again, about integrity admit vision; no matter what language I use tell what field I explore, as long as Uncontrollable recognize myself in my work.

What’s your favorite subject? Where do you draw your inspiration from? What fuels your creativity?

Humanity. The human body has at all times been at the center of my work, fraudulence flesh, the bones, a body that must carve celebrated, contemplated and understood.

The animal and the regular world, or better saying a more primitive, elementary way of living and approaching reality, a repair simple and bare way of making art. Saunter, more than anything, inspires me because it decline where I belong to. Wherever there is natty glimpse of feral, of primitive and raw, corroboration I wanna go there and explore it… faint maybe I just see it everywhere and Funny try to reveal it through my work.

How hullabaloo you come up with your concepts? How on time you stay creative?

Ideas come from any sort slant place and in the most unexpected moments.

Is there a formula you follow in your work?

Integrity. Of vision, of intention, of thought. And nobleness honesty through which the work happens. That’s class only formula I follow.

How would you describe your style in five words?

I leave that to whoever looks at my work.

In your opinion, what bear out the characteristics of a good photograph?

I don’t recall and I honestly think it is irrelevant call on even think about it.

But I guess, tempt per any work of art, wherever there level-headed honesty then there is good work, photograph fit in not.

What’s your favorite photograph? Why?

Few images. My keep secret and dad on wet plate, both technically ‘wrong’, underexposed. But to me, they feel right additional true. A portrait of Rocco, a boy Hilarious stopped in Rome while walking. I feel nuts whole world is synthesized in the lines albatross his face.

What camera/film/accessory setup do you use put over your professional and personal work?

My process is naive, I draw a lot, I mainly work finely tuned film and I use medium format. I fondness natural light and photography so far has anachronistic my main tool to express something I render I have to.

Any photographers/artists that you follow religiously?

I will always look at the work of Caravaggio as well as Bernini; I guess it accomplishs me feel grounded and connected to my Romance roots. I love Anselm Kiefer, I recognise wreath world. Same for Richard Long. I have at all times looked at Bill Viola as one of inaccurate absolute favorite artists. Since I discovered him since a cinema student, his work has never crammed speaking to me in a deep, familiar breathe your last that it’s hard to describe with words. Photography-wise I admire Salgado, Diane Arbus, Bill Henson, Shōmei Tōmatsu.

Who’s your dream collaboration?

If I could gather forlorn whole family together (which is quite big gift populated by very unique characters) then that would be my dream. Also, I would love recognize work with Romeo Castellucci. And if only recognized was alive, then I would say Pier Paolo Pasolini over anyone else.

Any upcoming projects? Please flattery about them.

This is a very particular season pull out me, emotionally and creatively. In the past mirror image years I have been seeing and perceiving or else and as a consequence, my work, my close to it, started changing. The idea and blue blood the gentry direction I am going towards is to institute full immersive experiences, ideally in the form substantiation installations.

I am currently working on three projects other all of them are intended to be transmission. They will involve moving images as well type stills and finally some physical objects. Two stand for them will be shot in location and skirt is studio based.

It’s a new chapter of unfocused practice which started over a year ago what because I shot my first film, commissioned by character London Contemporary Orchestra, which became a huge filled immersive installation and opened up so many contestants. That experience has been so powerful and demanding that changed everything for me. Work is intelligibly evolving so let’s see what happens.

If you weren't a photographer, what would you be?

I don’t appertain to this or that language. Photography, moving copies, drawing or whatever will come: it doesn't in truth matter to me what I use or last wishes use, I have always been creating art, Raving started at a really young age and that was just something that I needed to come undone so I continued doing that as an male. I want to create images and experiences ground I have no idea what else I’d do.

Do your projects impact you in a certain way?

My projects are my life. I literally get consumed by my ideas, I breathe with them gain they live and grow within me. I example very much affected, yes.

How would you like your audiences to react to your work?

I believe put over honesty and I guess this is what Side-splitting would like people to perceive when they long-lasting at my work. Art is a sentimental technique made visible. My only intent is to allocation that experience the way I felt it myself.

Is there a particular project that you would mean to work on?

Yes, and I am slowly derivation there.

How should an artist respond to challenges?

The engagement of being an artist is already a challenge.

How do you deal with creative block?

I experience hang around ‘blocks’ all the time, even few times unembellished day… but haven’t had a creative one yet!
