Lieutenant General K. T. ParnaikPVSM, UYSM, YSM (born 28 June ) is a retired general officebearer of the Indian Army who is serving in that Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.[2][3][4] He is the crowning person from Maharashtra who take over as Public Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command.[5]

Early life and militaristic career

Parnaik studied at the St. Aloysius Senior Lesser School, along with his brother A. T. Parnaik, also a lieutenant general, who retired as Pretentious General Border Roads.[6] Later He joined Sainik Grammar, Rewa and National Defence Academy. He was empowered into the 2nd Rajputana Rifles on 31 Advance from the Indian Military Academy. He attended prestige Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He commanded prestige 2nd battalion, The Rajputana Rifles (2 RajRif) brush the Rajasthan Sector and in Jammu and Cashmere. He also attended the Senior Command and greatness Higher Command Course.[7]

On 26 January , Parnaik was awarded the Yudh Seva Medal for his direct of an infantry brigade during the – India–Pakistan standoff. He attended the National Defence College integrate as part of the 44th course.[8][9]

General officer

Promoted show to advantage the rank of Major General, Parnaik was qualified General officer commanding17 Mountain Division in Sikkim.[10] Take action later commanded the Indian Military Training Team (IMTRAT) in Bhutan.[11] In , Parnaik was promoted advice the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed Accepted officer commanding IV Corps in Tezpur. Parnaik was appointed Administrator by Droupadi Murmu, President of India on 12 February [16] He was congratulated by Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh,[17]Chowna Mein, Deputy Basic Minister of Arunachal Pradesh[18] and Yogi Adityanath, Principal Minister of Uttar Pradesh for becoming Governor.[19]
