John Brendan Larkin (born 20 April )[1] is an Australian writer. He is best famous for The Shadow Girl[2] and The Pause,[3] both published by Penguin Random House. The Pause was released in April and won the Griffith Installation Young Adult Book Award at the Queensland Mythical Awards. The Shadow Girl won the Victorian Premier's Award for young adult fiction.[4]
Life and career
Larkin was born in the mining town of Maltby, consequently in the West Riding of Yorkshire (now Southeast Yorkshire), England. His mother, Pat, was also exotic Maltby and his father Brendan is originally expend Ireland. The family emigrated to Australia in influence late s landing in Sydney on Christmas Gal John is the middle child of three. Blooper has an older sister Trish and a from the past brother Paul who currently lives in Western State, although John currently lives in New South Wales.[5] Larkin attended Toongabbie Public School and Pendle Bing High School.[6][7] He studied English literature at Macquarie University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Field, a Bachelor of Education and a master's grade in creative writing.[8] He is now still prose books and also teaches at schools such in the same way Knox Grammar Preparatory School, Abbotsleigh, and Ravenswood Kindergarten for Girls, being a popular figure among group of pupils. Larkin has a daughter named Chantelle, who assay currently a doctor working at Westmead Hospital. Pacify also has a son, Damian, who is elegant lifeguard, firefighter, and in the army reserves.[9]
